Whoever said dogs are a man's best friend didn't know the heartwarming story of
Bella the dog and Tarra the elephant.
From the moment these two met at @theelephantsanctuary in Tennessee, they were inseparable. With no human encouragement, Tarra adopted a stray dog named Bella on her very own. For nearly a decade these two best friends enjoyed every moment of life side by side. They ate together, slept together, played together.
Bella let Tarra pet her tummy, her foot, her head. They harbored no fears, no secrets, no prejudices. Just two living creatures who came from uniquely different backgrounds choosing to live life with one another.
A reminder that friendships come in all shapes, sizes, cultures, languages. As long as their is love their is life.
Today is World Elephant Day. We are celebrating by donating 100% of all proceeds from today's online sales directly back to @theelephantsanctuary.
Bella sadly passed away but their love and inspiring life journey has been celebrated throughout the world.
